Why I don’t have the Graveyard Blues Number Two

  • Too far from any graveyards
  • Too far from any highways
  • A bit to far from the dirt, but not quite close enough to the clouds
  • Apatite, nutritional and musical
  • Vitamin deficient
  • No where near as dexterous as I should be; I drop pens in class
  • Once I tried to be lost, but only I knew I was lost.
  • Flat feet?
  • Cold hands. I have Raynaud’s syndrome so my hands turn white in the cold and I can’t play sports. My hands move in slow motion and I can’t close my fists all the way. Maybe I have low blood pressure too because people are always warm to the touch but then they recoil away and exclaim that I’m cold, much like a corpse. I used to take medication that made it worse. Some people are colder than me and it’s refreshing like a cucumber to be the one to recoil.
  • There are no bombs here.
  • I’ve never had to scrounge for food; I have for fun and isn’t that just the most bitter mockery of the whole damned thing?
